After a yummy breakfast, we headed to a national monument with the sun shining and smiles on our faces (b/c the kiddos slept all the way there, only 30 minutes, but so peaceful)! It was magnificent to say the least. It was the first time I’ve been there and I really enjoyed seeing this carved beauty in person. While Luke was totally NOT interested in reading the history, Darin and I tried to take in as much as we could as quickly as we could. Borglum, such a visionary artist.
Then we hit the road.
