Welcome Fall Weather!

Here is the latest addition to the nursery! Darin had a fabulous idea for curtains… so I figured out how to put it into fruition. After shopping at several stores, I found the perfect valance curtains. 4 hours later, stamps replicating the leaf patterns on the rainforest gear were created and stamped on the curtains! I love them. I am really hooked on this cute rainforest stuff!

Darin has been playing intramural football. He has thrown key passes, started plays, and looked really awesome on the field! Although they haven’t won a game, they’ve made some crazy plays and scored many touchdowns (which is better than the team did last year I hear). Tournament starts soon and we are hoping for a win!

I went to HeeHaw’s with my class this week. Here is Leroy, the 1,300 pound pig. Definitely scary looking! They had a bunny village, goats walking on bridges, pigs, horses, corn mazes, slides, a pumpkin patch and a hayride. It was a lot of fun, even with crazy hyper kids! I am really enjoying the fall, because it hasn’t been too cold! Knock on wood, I hope we get to enjoy the fall weather a little longer!

p.s. I’m in my 37th week!

  1. I love those curtains. Didn’t you make those palm trees for your first classroom?

I had all my babies in the 36th or 37th week. So soon and you’ll be a mommy!!

Can you send me your address please.

  2. Yeah, the trees are from my classroom, I just redid the leaves on top. I didn’t plan to use the same theme as my classroom, but I just fell in love with the fisher-price stuff and it just happened to be rainforest too! Maybe my next baby will get a different theme! I hope I don’t have him yet, I’m not quite ready! (Will I ever be?)

  3. Of course you’ll be ready! As if you don’t already love your little guy, you’ll be amazed at how much your love for him intensifies the moment he arrives. I am so excited for you both and all the amazing experiences that you’ll soon be enjoying. Soon enough you’ll be seeing the world in a whole new way- as parents. Being a mom and a dad is (as everyone says) the greatest blessing anyone can ever have. All the best to you! We’ve been keeping you in our prayers.

  4. Don’t give birth before the baby shower this Saturday, please!!! Actually it wouldn’t be big deal to change the date, so you have my permission to have Baby Payne whenever he starts knocking on the door. 🙂 You guys are so creative to have made those curtains. I got to see them in person and they are AWESOME! I like how you included Darin in the photo too!
